Hydroseeding
What it is
Hydroseeding is a modern grass-planting method that combines grass seed with water, mulch, fertilizer and sometimes soil stabilizers or growth enhancers. This 'slurry' is then applied to a prepared soil surface using a machine called a hydroseeder.
Erosion Control
Mulch in the mixture helps keep seeds in place and retains moisture for germination. It protects seeds from erosion due to wind and rain, which is important for sloped areas. Fertilizers in the mixture promote quick grass growth for rapid root establishment. Soil stabilizers can be added to prevent erosion in challenging areas.
